The curling club will be open on Thursday, September 17 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

We will be accepting league fees that night by cash or cheque, or we recommend an e-transfer to treasurer@elmwoodcurlingclub.com.

MATT FALK, COMEDIAN
Matt Falk is a comedian, writer and actor who the CBC called, “Effortlessly Funny.” You’ve heard him on Sirius Satellite Radio, Laugh Out Loud and The Debaters. His Dry Bar Comedy specials have millions of views collectively online and 3 of his comedy albums reached #1 on the iTunes Comedy charts. You’ve seen him at The Ha!lifax Comedy Festival, The Winnipeg Comedy Festival and the prestigious Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal. He was named one of the “BEST OF THE FEST” at the Burbank Comedy Festival in California and he placed 2nd in The World Series of Comedy in Las Vegas.

A well-attended windup on Friday, August 24 brought members of the club together to officially close out the season and celebrate the year’s competition.

This year’s club champions are Team Darragh, who secured the top honour after a competitive run through the season.

Final standings for the A, B, C and X sides are as follows:

• A Side: Team Rychliski
• B Side: Team R. Jackson
• C Side: Team Lukaschuk
• X Side: Team Ozunko

The club extends congratulations to all teams for their commitment throughout the season. Events like the windup highlight the strength of our community, and we thank everyone who contributed to making the year a success.

We look forward to another great season ahead.
