    Santa Came to Town

    The young and the young at heart gathered this Sunday to welcome ol’ St. Nick. After a hearty breakfast, Santa opened his bag of gifts, offering wonderful toys to the children and bringing smiles to all participants.

    Register for Hit, Draw, Tap

    Youths aged 6-13 are invited to register for the annual Hit, Draw, Tap competition to be held at Elmwood Curling Club on Saturday, December 16, 2023.

    Competitors throw three shots, the Hit, the Draw and the Tap and are awarded points for each shot.

    Winners go on to the regional competition and can potentially move on to provincials next February.

    We are currently accepting online registrations for the 2023-2024 season. Curling nights are Tuesday at 8PM, Wednesday at 8PM and Thursday at 7PM.

    Don’t Miss the 2023 AGM!

    The Annual General Meeting is set for Thursday, May 18 at 7 PM, second floor of Elmwood Curling Club.

    On the agenda are a variety of points such as the state of the club, a financial overview, and elections for chairs. It’s the perfect opportunity to join the discussion on how to bring in improvements.

    We’re also looking for volunteers that could lend a hand; no need to sit on the board. Let us know how you can help!

    New League Joins ECC

    Elmwood Curling Club is thrilled to welcome the Victoria Seniors Mixed Curling League for the 2023-2024 curling season.

    Victoria Seniors Mixed Curling League is a fun, casual league open to all seniors and retirees, male and female.

    Draws are once a week on Wednesdays at 1:00 pm.

    You won’t believe who won the club championship!

    It’s no secret. Rink Suchy went 13-3 this season, securing the title of grand aggregate for the 2022-2023 season. It is only logical that the 6-person team made up of Chris Suchy (skip) Brett Walter, Scott Harding, Shane Kilgallen, Dan Hogeveen and Keith Plezia went on to conquer the club championship in a final match-up against rink Jackson.

    Additional A, B and X events were also concluded on the evening of Thursday, March 31.
