Congratulations to our eight Elmwood Curling Club ambassadors who took the ice by storm in the O’Grady Cup Challenge on Saturday, March 18.

The two Elmwood teams were made up of Joey Hondz, Russ Bevan, Kevin Kirkness, Chris Trotter, Shawn Lukaschuk, Eric Pellerin, Ben Hatch, and Josh Benjamin.

The challengers hailed from Winkler.

The competition, which dates back to 1908, puts two clubs at odds, each putting forth a double rink (two teams) where the winner is the club having accumulated the most points in a round-robin format. The winning club retains the title until its next loss.

Elmwood is off to the Granite Curling Club next weekend hoping to retain the crown.
