Elmwood Curling Club Crowns 2025 Champions!

Another exciting season at the Elmwood Curling Club wrapped up with the crowning of this year’s champions across five brackets. With intense competition on all five sheets, teams battled their way through to claim top honors.
Taking home the Club Championship was the team of Allan Neyedly, Drew Willms, Joey Hondz, and Kevin Goodbrand, proving their skill and consistency throughout the season. Notably, Joey Hondz, along with A-side champion Harry Lukaschuk, started their curling journeys in the club’s Little Rocks youth program and now compete at a high level every week.
In the A-side, Harry Lukaschuk, Shawn Lukaschuk, Sebastian Kapustka, and Mike Foster emerged victorious, while the B-side championship went to Rob Woodrow, Ron Neufeld, James Bedford, Reg Sawatsky, Don Loewen, and Tom Swanlund.
The C-side was claimed by Chris Neufeld, Jorian Stangl, Quinn Sapach, and Darren Moore, while the X-side champions were Alan Ramm, Russ Bevan, Brian Steeves, Jason Ramm, Joel Parent, Darryl Enns, and Brian Arnold.
Congratulations to all the winners and competitors for a fantastic season!

You won’t believe who won the club championship!
It’s no secret. Rink Suchy went 13-3 this season, securing the title of grand aggregate for the 2022-2023 season. It is only logical that the 6-person team made up of Chris Suchy (skip) Brett Walter, Scott Harding, Shane Kilgallen, Dan Hogeveen and Keith Plezia went on to conquer the club championship in a final match-up against rink Jackson.

Additional A, B and X events were also concluded on the evening of Thursday, March 31.
A-Side: Brad Micholson, Ian Campbell, Ryan Lagace, Paul Neilands.

B-Side: Leonard Peterson, Eric Peterson, Colin Baril, Larry Trump, Darren Kruger.

X-Side: Michel Durand-Wood, Antoine Cantin-Brault, Jamie Morneau, Réal Durand.

Congratulations to rink Harding, Men’s League Champs!
Many hard battles were fought. Brushes brushed, curling stones curled. But in the end, there can be only one club champ, and this year’s honours go to rink Harding, made up of Chris Suchy (skip), Scott Harding, Shane Kilgallen, Dan Hogeveen and Keith Plezia. The team also boasts a perfect season with 24 wins, 0 losses.

Accolades also go to A-side champions Ozunko, B-side champions Van Benten, and X-side champions Lukaschuk.
Rink members are as follows:
- Ozunko: Randy Ozunko (skip), Mike Evans, Ross Romanyshyn, Aaron Kowall and Mark Fynn.

- Van Benten: Drew Knox (skip), Terry Van Benten, Larry Bruzell, Bruce Gouriluk and Doug Burland.

- Lukaschuk: Kevin Kirkness (skip), Shawn Lukaschuck, Craig Parker, Darren Chanowski, Nicholas Burgess and Joey Hondz.

Thanks to all teams for a fun season! See you at the windup on April 29th?
